Worldwise

Terms of Service

Effective 15 July 2026. These Terms form an agreement between you and Daniel Slater, operator of Worldwise under the Kelaros product family (“Worldwise”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). By downloading, accessing, creating an account for, purchasing through, or using the Service, you accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

1. Eligibility and guardians

You must be legally capable of accepting these Terms. If you are under 18 or the age of majority where you live, you represent that a parent or legal guardian has reviewed and accepted these Terms and supervises your use. Children unable to consent for themselves must not independently create an account.

2. Licence to use Worldwise

Subject to these Terms, Worldwise grants you a personal, limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable licence to use the Service for lawful personal and educational purposes on devices you own or control, as permitted by Apple’s usage rules. No ownership interest is transferred.

3. Accounts and security

You must provide reasonably accurate information, keep credentials secure, and promptly notify us of suspected unauthorized use. You are responsible for activity under your account to the extent permitted by law. Usernames may be changed, reserved, reclaimed, or removed if misleading, infringing, abusive, inactive, or needed for service operation.

4. Learning content and results

Worldwise is an educational aid, not an accredited school, examination, professional adviser, navigation service, or authoritative source for political, territorial, legal, medical, or safety decisions. Geography, boundaries, names, classifications, and facts can be disputed or change. Progress, estimates, rankings, and recommendations are informational and may be incomplete or inaccurate.

5. Acceptable use

You must not: break the law or another person’s rights; harass, impersonate, exploit, or endanger anyone; post deceptive, hateful, sexual, violent, infringing, or otherwise inappropriate profile content; scrape, probe, reverse engineer, interfere with, overload, or bypass security or access controls except where law expressly permits; automate accounts or activity without written permission; manipulate purchases, referrals, rewards, streaks, rankings, or entitlements; submit false reports; introduce malware; collect another user’s information without authority; or use the Service to build a competing dataset, model, or service.

6. Social features and user material

You retain ownership of material you submit, such as a display name, username, profile presentation, feedback, report, or support message. You grant Worldwise a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive, sublicensable licence to host, store, reproduce, adapt, moderate, display, distribute, and otherwise use that material only as reasonably needed to operate, secure, improve, promote, and enforce the Service. You represent that you have the necessary rights. We may remove, restrict, preserve, or disclose material and may suspend accounts under these Terms, our Community Guidelines, or law.

7. Virtual items, rewards, and rankings

XP, gems, hearts, streaks, boosts, tickets, cosmetics, achievements, rewards, rankings, and similar items are limited, revocable service features with no cash value, property right, or guaranteed availability. They cannot be sold, transferred, redeemed for money, or used outside Worldwise unless we expressly allow it. We may correct errors, reverse invalid awards, rebalance values, reset seasons, and change availability to protect fairness or service integrity.

8. Subscriptions and purchases

Purchases are processed by Apple and are also subject to Apple’s terms. Subscription features, renewal, cancellation, Family access, offers, and refunds are described in our Subscription Terms. You must not obtain or retain paid benefits through an invalid, refunded, revoked, fraudulent, or unauthorized transaction.

9. Advertising and promotions

Eligible accounts may receive optional advertising, promotions, or offers. Availability, reward value, eligibility, and timing are not guaranteed. A reward is granted only after valid server-side confirmation and may be denied or reversed for duplication, manipulation, provider failure, or ineligibility. Promotions may have additional rules.

10. Third-party services

The Service depends on or links to services operated by Apple, Cloudflare, Google, PostHog, and others. Their terms and policies may apply. Worldwise is not responsible for third-party services outside our control, and their outage or decision may affect availability.

11. Intellectual property

Worldwise and its original software, design, branding, characters, lessons, compilation, and service materials are owned by or licensed to us and protected by law. Third-party data and software remain subject to their respective rights and licences. See Licences and Attributions. “Worldwise” and related branding may not be used to imply endorsement without permission.

12. Feedback

If you provide suggestions or feedback, you grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free right to use, modify, commercialize, and incorporate it without restriction or compensation, provided we do not publicly identify you without permission.

13. Service changes

We may add, modify, replace, suspend, limit, price, or discontinue features, content, rewards, providers, eligibility rules, supported devices, or the Service. We will provide notice or preserve rights where required by law or Apple’s rules. We do not guarantee that any specific free feature, social group, reward, ranking, advertisement, or content item will remain available.

14. Suspension and termination

You may stop using Worldwise or delete your account. We may investigate, warn, restrict, suspend, or terminate access where we reasonably believe you violated these Terms, created risk, infringed rights, manipulated the Service, failed to pay, or where operation is no longer commercially or technically practical. Where reasonable and lawful, we may offer a way to contact support. Provisions intended to survive termination will survive.

15. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. We disclaim implied warranties of availability, accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted operation, error-free content, preservation of progress, or achievement of a particular learning result. Nothing excludes warranties or guarantees that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable Australian Consumer Law guarantees.

16. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Worldwise and its operator, affiliates, providers, and personnel are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive loss, or loss of data, progress, opportunity, goodwill, or profits. Where liability cannot be excluded, our aggregate liability is limited to the greater of the amount you paid to Worldwise through the App Store during the preceding 12 months or AUD $100, except where a different limitation is required by law. These limitations do not apply to liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

17. Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify Worldwise and its operator against third-party claims, losses, and reasonable costs arising from your unlawful use, your material, or your breach of these Terms. This does not require indemnification for our own negligence, misconduct, or liability that cannot be excluded.

18. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, without regard to conflict rules. Courts located in New South Wales have non-exclusive jurisdiction. Mandatory consumer protections and rights to bring a claim in another competent forum remain unaffected. Before formal proceedings, please contact support@worldwise.app and give us a reasonable opportunity to resolve the issue.

19. Apple-specific terms

These Terms are between you and Worldwise, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the Service, support, maintenance, claims, or legal compliance, except that Apple may provide a refund of the app purchase price if required by its applicable agreement. You must comply with Apple’s Media Services Terms and applicable usage rules. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce the Apple-specific provisions. Apple’s standard End User License Agreement applies to the licensed app except to the extent valid additional terms apply.

20. General

If a provision is unenforceable, it will be limited or severed while the remainder continues. Failure to enforce is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without consent; we may assign them with the Service or business. Headings are for convenience. These Terms, incorporated policies, purchase terms, and any feature-specific rules form the agreement concerning the Service.

21. Changes and contact

We may update these Terms prospectively. Material changes will receive notice where required. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance to the extent permitted by law. Questions may be sent to support@worldwise.app.
